Easy Bean
Helen and an associate undertook PR work for the launch of the world's first Fairtrade ready meals, taking Fairtrade into a new aisle in the supermarket. This work coincided with the launch of Easy Bean into 100 Sainsbury stores. Their work generated great interest in the trade press and consumer titles including The Telegraph Magazine, Top Sante, the Sainsbury magazine, Vegetarian Living and The Culinary Guide. They currently provide ongoing PR support for the company and run its social media campaign.Tropical Wholefoods - launch of Apricot Kernels
Headline Media and an associate spearheaded the launch of Fairtrade Apricot Kernels for award-winning retailer Tropical Wholefoods and unveiled a new design for packaging across its ranges. The campaign targeted first the trade press and then consumer press. Trade press coverage focused on the new product and new-look packaging and its ethical credentials, while also highlighting previous successful products from Tropical Wholefoods. Coverage was secured in all the major trade press publications and many websites. Consumer press coverage focused on recipes using the new product and coverage was secured in many glossy magazines. Key dates such as Easter and Mother's Day were also used to draw attention to the new product and this secured extensive coverage. As well as printed material, coverage was also achieved on many website and blogs.
The Fairtrade Foundation
Helen has an ongoing relationship with the media team at the Fairtrade Foundation. She worked with the team on projects related to the high profile Fairtrade Fortnight 2010 and the 15th anniversary of the introduction of the Fairtrade mark. She has also worked on projects related to Fairtrade Fortnight 2011.
Bishopston Trading Company
Helen worked for the pioneering ethical trader Bishopston Trading Company for three years to March 2009. In that time she established the PR strategy and practice for the company, including the issuing of regular press releases, answering press calls, advising on marketing flyers, copy editing company material and compiling feature material.
