Mark Whitehead  has written for several national publications including the Times Educational 
Supplement, The Guardian, the Evening Standard and People Management. He was deputy editor 
of Supply Management for five years and edited Procurement Leaders for three years. He is 
co-author of Buying for Business, published by John Wiley & Sons, a guide for non-experts to the 
issues involved in purchasing and supply management. His marketing and PR clients range from 
specialist procurement agencies to global corporations.

Helen Riley has many years' experience as a public relations specialist and journalist. She has 
wide experience in the not-for-profit sector including with leading NHS Trusts. In the commercial 
sector she has worked extensively with ethical businesses including the Fairtrade Foundation, Easy 
Bean and the Bishopston Trading Company. As a journalist she has worked as a news reporter, feature 
writer, section editor, sub-editor and freelance on local and national newspapers and magazines.
